Europe focuses on sustainable growth
The European Commission’s Regional Policy Directorate-General and the Committee of the Regions have joined forces with the European Parliament, 135 regions and cities, as well as European banking, business and civil society organisations to develop a programme of 111 seminars, workshops and sessions on the theme of "Investing in Europe's Regions and Cities: Public and Private Partners for Growth and Jobs".
The events take place in Brussels, Belgium, from 9-12 October 2006, with a further 70 local events happening throughout Europe.
In total, over 5000 regional policy experts and stakeholders will participate and discuss key issues relating to the sustainable growth of Europe.
